Limewire itself does not have "free mp3 download". LimeWire is a P2P (Peer-to-peer) file sharing system - the files you see are in shared directories of other on-line LimeWire users. What they care to share is up to them (and you). Doesn't have to be music that's shared, can be any type of file - including viruses so be warned. LimeWire just provides the Peer-to-peer service - and yes it is illegal for *users of the service* to make available copyrighted items for sharing and illegal for *other users* to download them.... but...... 'nuff said
Its not illegal to download files shared by other peer-2-peer users, providing those files are not protected by copyright law. i.e. If you and your band record a song, you could distribute it through this medium if you wanted to give it away for free.
I wouldn't use limewire though, its garbage, and automatically shares everything on your computer, and kills yolimewire free download mp3 downloadur internet speeds, not to mention the viruses.
Just use itunes and buy it legally :)
Limewire is not illegal apparently and it is free, but trust me DONT use it!!! It has no virus protection on it and if you share music with others, you are also sharing their viruses. My stepson downloaded it onto my laptop and it completely scr@wed it up! My uncle is an IT consultant who specialises in repairing computers and he says it is one of the biggest problems he has on computers that come in at the moment.

i hate to use limewire because one time it keeps opening itself up and taking all our shared internet so i use ares for downloading something like the three stooges but its also free.
if you are trying to get ares,find the free one not the pay one.
but just dont download anything from software search because some contains virus but make sure u have avast antivirus, they can watch ares and block the bad one out and promts you to either remove or quaranty it.

Yes LimeWire is free, additionally you can upgrade to LimeWirePro, which does cost.
Unless you download it from LimeWire Basic ;).

It uploads songs from peoples computers and lets others download them without paying therefore is a violation of copyright
anyway I would recommend Frostwire because its faster and runs the same as Limewire PRO
limewire is free and it is legal so you can use it every time you but lime wire is contain many viruses so you must have an anti virus.
my uncle is an IT and he tell me to use Kaspersky because it is great to kill the virus
limewire is free but it does offer for you to pay limewire pro which is better. but its probably not legal but it does ask you if your going to use it for copyright infringment beforehand.
yeh limewire is fee but im not sure about it being illegal. and u should find that song on limewire =)
for any music use a online store like itunes or some other music store, your more likely to find what your looking for and you dont have to worry about it being illegal.
Yer.. limewire is free but beware it can contain lots of viruses. A good free MP3 site is Emp3world.com . The latest music all for free.
